VXshot

VXshot is part of the MaxSHOT 3D package and is the application that operates the MaxSHOT 3D camera.

Unlike other systems on the market, where data accuracy is partially contingent upon the operator’s experience and technique, VXshot features an extremely simple data acquisition process.

  • VXshot guides operators every step of the way throughout the process of capturing images for photogrammetric calculations
  • VXshot  measures and recomputes all the identified points each time an image is taken.
  • VXshot clearly and immediately notifies operators if they need to take additional pictures to increase measurement accuracies by
    • colour coding the targets to indicate if a target has sufficient quantity of shots and also a good variation of angle between the shots
    • colour coding each image captured to indicate if the quality of an image is good enough for the overall photogrammetric process and calculations
  • Real-time visualization and validation of the positioning model makes it possible to see the rebuilt volume and all estimated points with the utmost accuracy
  • The operator's work flow is more efficient compared to other photogrammetry systems
    • the real-time display provides immediate guidance and thus compensates for any lack of experience on the part of the operator
    • the operator, to know the quality of the measurement, need not complete the whole process of taking all the required photos and running the software's measurement calculations
 
Handyscan 3D - Increased Volumetric Accuracies

MaxSHOT 3D enables the 3D scanners from the Handyscan 3D product range to scan much larger objects with very high volumetric accuracies.

REVscan volumetric accuracies

  • without MaxSHOT 3D: constant 0.020 mm + variable 0.200 mm per metre (or 0.0002 of part length)
  • with MaxSHOT 3D: constant 0.020 mm + variable 0.025 mm per metre (or 0.000025 of part length)

EXAscan volumetric accuracies

  • without MaxSHOT 3D: constant 0.020 mm + variable 0.100 mm per metre (or 0.0001 of part length)
  • with MaxSHOT 3D: constant 0.020 mm + variable 0.025 mm per metre (or 0.000025 of part length)

VIUscan volumetric accuracies

  • without MaxSHOT 3D: constant 0.020 mm + variable 0.200 mm per metre (or 0.0002 of part length)
  • with MaxSHOT 3D: constant 0.020 mm + variable 0.025 mm per metre (or 0.000025 of part length)

MAXscan volumetric accuracies

  • without MaxSHOT 3D: constant 0.020 mm + variable 0.025 mm per metre (or 0.000025 of part length)
  • with MaxSHOT 3D: constant 0.020 mm + variable 0.025 mm per metre (or 0.000025 of part length)
  • MAXscan is compatible with MaxSHOT 3D but performance remains unchanged
 
HandyPROBE - Increased Volumetric Accuracy

The HandyPROBE system combines with MaxSHOT 3D to provide higher accuracies for measuring very large parts.

HandyPROBE with C-Track 380 volumetric accuracies with MaxSHOT 3D

  • 0.075 mm if part length < 1.2 m
  • constant 0.045 mm + variable 0.025 mm per metre of part length if > 1.2 m

HandyPROBE with C-Track 780 volumetric accuracies with MaxSHOT 3D

  • 0.085 mm if part length < 1.2 m
  • constant 0.055 mm + variable 0.025 mm per metre of part length if > 1.2 m

HandyPROBE with C-Track 1480 volumetric accuracies with MaxSHOT 3D

  • 0.170 mm if part length < 3.0 m
  • constant 0.095 mm + variable 0.025 mm per metre of part length if > 3.0 m
 
Metrascan - Increased Volumetric Accuracies

The Metrascan system (the system consists of a C-Track 780) combines with MaxSHOT 3D to provide higher accuracies for scanning very large parts.

  • 0.075 mm if part length < 1.2 m
  • constant 0.045 mm + variable 0.025 mm per metre of part length if > 1.2 m
